Going fishing in Scotland could not be easier.  No government licence is needed.  But, before you go, you must have permission from the owner of the fishing, or his agent.  This will usually be a permit bought at the loch, river or local tackle shop.

Guests are permitted to fish outside The Ice Barn on the banks of the Tay, possibly the most famous of Scotland's east coast rivers.

Lochs & Rivers

Locally there are also 5 stocked lochs and a good river, all within approximately 40 minutes from The Ice Barn, for Brown and Rainbow Trout mainly.  They are :-
